Klay Thompson, born on 8th February 1990, is a professional basketball player. He is an American player and plays for the Golden State Warriors of the NBA since 2011. In the NBA, Thompson is the best shooting guard. He is the most efficient two-way guard. He is good at defending the point guards on the perimeter and small guards. He has the best defensive skills. Thompson pushes his opponents’ baseline and under the hoop, he pushes them into a tough position.

He always approaches from them behind to swat the layup. He can extend his defense all the way to half court as he is tall enough to recover and not get beat. He is a dead-eye marksman. He has a quick release and he is also an awesome shooter. He has the touch to finish as he lofts a floater and tacks on two points.

After Thompson set a record in the state finals by scoring seven 3-pointers in the basketball game as a senior, he was named as the First-Team Best in the West. He was also entitled as the League MVP, an EA Sports Second Team All-American and Division III State Player of the Year. As a college freshman, he had an average of 12.5 points per game. Thompson was the NBA Champion in 2015. He was entitled two times as the NBA All-Star in the years 2015 and 2016. He was named as the All-NBA Third Team in the years 2015 and 2016. He was entitled as NBA All-Rookie First Team in 2012. He was titled two times as the First-team All-Pac-10 in the years 2010 and 2011.

In the first round of the NBA draft in 2011

Thompson was selected by Golden State Warriors. He scored 32 points which was a season-high point in the 2012-13 season against the Cleveland Cavaliers. In the same season, he also formed the best shooting duo in the history of the NBA, with Stephen Curry. He made a combined score of 483 three-pointers with Curry and it was the highest score ever made by an NBA duo. In the first round of the playoff, he had helped the Warriors to defeat the Denver Nuggets in the 2012-13 season. He scored 38 points in the opening games of the season for the warriors. In this season, he also set a new NBA record with Curry by scoring 484 combined three-pointer. He helped the Warriors to enter the NBA playoffs in 2014.

Match against Los Angeles Lakes

In the match against Los Angeles Lakers, he scored 41 points and contributed to the win of the Warriors in the game. In a 126-101 win over against the Sacramento Kings on 23rd January 2015, he scored 52 points, which was a career-high point for him. For the first time in his career, he was entitled a reserve for the Western Conference All-Star team in 2015. He helped the Warriors to win the NBA Championship, ending the 40-year wait of the franchise as the Gold State Warriors had not win NBA championship since 1975. He won the Three-Point Contest in the All-Star Weekend by defeating Devin Booker and Stephen Curry in the final round. In 2016, the Warriors become the second team to win 70 games in the NBA history with the help of Thompson, who scored 14 points in the win over against the San Antonio Spurs.

Thompson computes his mission to win games in his mind but does not speak much about it. He’s best at unlocking the switching scheme. The Warriors now have the NBA record for the best regular season.
